*Wash your clothes in cold water

*Repair leaky faucets

*Don’t block your vent system with furniture or drapes

*Use motion detector lights outside

*Clean out your heating and cooling vent system regularly

*Turn off your dishwasher after the wash cycle, and let dishes air dry

*Repair/replace refrigerator door seals if you feel any air or moisture leaking out

*Wash and dry several loads of laundry at once so the dry doesn’t completely have to heat up

*Clean the coils on the back of the refrigerator and keep the power save switch on

*Keep your oven door closed while cooking and try to grill out more

*Ceiling fans should constantly run low; counter clockwise in the summer and clockwise in the winter

*Lower your water heater to 120̊ F

*Tune up and clean your furnace every season
